About us

How will I make myself study?

Where will I go out tonight?

Why would I wake up before 10am?

Why do I study – when there is no chance to get a job in my filed?

Will I ever see the world?

Will I finally find the right one for me?

What is this life about?

Why do I read this at all?

The question that you have just read are common.  We ask them too.  Probably, our life circumstances are similar.  We are a group of young people, university and high school students, gathered in the Evangelical Assocciation of Students (EUS).  Like you, we entered this new century, occupied with different problems and often – we don’t know how to move on.  Still, there is something in EUS that connects us closely and something that has impact on who we are, what we want and what we do.

The members of EUS believe that there is someone who can give a purpose to life.  Moreover, many of us have met that person and have contacts with that person every day, they talk, they plan together, they solve the problems together, they enjoy that person.  That person is Jesus Christ (if you want to quit reading this right now because it seems you came across ‘the boring Christians’ we wish you a nice day and all the best, and if you ever need the person we have just describe, get in touch with us!!).

The fact that we know Jesus Christ does not bring some instant answers and does not automatically remove all the problems from our lives.  However, that means that each one of usbelongs yo someone who we are really important to and it means that we belong to each other.  That’s why we welcome everyone who wants to meet Jesus Christ and that’s why we take certain actions.

Belgrade, Novi Sad, Nis, Subotica, Niksic … are some of the town where you can find groups of students who gather at the universities there.  Even though we come from different Christian denominations, we welcome everyone who wants to talk, discuss, exchange experiences and hang out together.  Often, we study the Bible because we believe that in it, an inspiration for everyday life can be found.  We have lectures and events about modern issues and problems: usually conncted with the subject of the universities where we small groups.  Once a year we hold a conference of EUS when, during the several days, we reflect and discuss our understanding of the important life issues.  During the year we organize camps and we host students from different countries.

EUS is the member of IFES (http://www.ifesworld.org/ ), an international association of students which gather student movements from 152 countries in the world.

Vision/EUS Mission

EUS gathers university and high school student and university educated believers from different Christian churches in Serbia and Montenegro

The common goal of the members is proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ to the peers and colleagues in schools and universities.

This goal is achieved also through organizing Bible study groups in schools and universities, in student dorms, student centers and similar institutions.

What EUS believes

We believe in:

  • Unity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit in the Holy Trinity.
  • God’s sovereignty in creation, revelation, redemption and judgement day.
  • God’s inspiration and complete truthfulness of the Bible in its original form, and in Bible’s supreme authority in all the issues regarding faith and behavious.
  • Human sinfulness and guilt, starting from the fall (in sin), when humans came under the wrath and judgement of God.
  • Redemption from the guilt, punishment, rule and dirt of sin, through the life of Christ, incarnate God’s Son, who, with the death on the cross and resurrection became a mediator and intercessor between God and man.
  • Bodily resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ from the dead and His ascension to ‘the right hand of the Father’.
  • The presense and the power of the Holy Spirit which is seen in the act of spiritual revival.
  • Justification of the sinners by God’s grace, only through faith.
  • One, holy, universal and apostolic Chruch, which is the body of Christ and to which all the true believers belong to.
  • The work of the Holy Spirit who lives in a believer and sanctifies them.
Second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ in His glory.
